Integration Type 1 — Call Pop, Profiles & Birthday Reminders
Why This Matters
Type 1 is the entry point of every integration journey at Weave. It represents the minimum viable integration that makes Weave useful for any office — the moment a patient calls and their name pops up on screen is powered entirely by the data your integration pulls.
What You'll Learn
- The five integration types (Type 1–5) and how they nest inside each other
- The four features that define a Type 1 integration: call pop, patient profile, pet profile, and birthday reminders
- How Weave UI looks for a veterinary location vs. a dental location
- What data the Integrations team must pull from a PMS to enable these features
- Why pet profile and patient profile are separate concepts in veterinary verticals

Lesson Summary
Weave categorizes all PMS partnerships into Type 1 through Type 5, where each type is a superset of the previous. Type 1 is the foundation, delivering call pop (showing who's calling), patient profile (demographics and contact info), pet profile (for veterinary clinics), and birthday reminders. In a vet location, the human is the 'client' and animals are 'patients'; in dental, humans are directly the patients. To enable these features, the Integrations team must pull patient and pet demographic data including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and birth dates from the PMS.
