Sync App Fundamentals

Module Overview

SyncApp is the core service of the Integrations team. It's the bridge between a customer's Practice Management System and the Weave platform. This module covers what SyncApp does, how it's architected for both cloud and on-prem PMSs, how it interacts with the Data Service, and how its internal flowchart works — including the hash-based change detection that makes it efficient.

Why This Module Matters

You will spend most of your time as an Integrations engineer working on SyncApp — either maintaining adapters for specific PMSs or fixing sync issues. Understanding the architectural fundamentals deeply will make you a faster, more confident engineer.
